ETICA Y MORAL

                                               La moral

Leonardo Daniel Morales Hernandez

Lizeth Adriana Mendoza Tomas

     the moral

It is called the morality or moral set of beliefs and norms of a person or social group which acts as a guide to the work (ie, that guides about good or bad or incorrect-Correct, an action or actions).

Morals are the rules or standards governing the conduct of a human being in relation to society and himself governed. This term has a positive effect against those of "immoral" (against morality) and "amoral" (without morals). The existence of actions and activities susceptible to moral evaluation is based on the human being as the subject of voluntary acts. So the moral is related to the study of freedom and covers the action of man in all its manifestations.

It is understood by "moral action" any act which has been executed obeying the commands of the moral law. Therefore, not all human actions are likely to receive a moral qualification (for example, from an ethical point of view sneezing can not merit any proper, except that whatever moral judgment on a person to mess with which how valuable it would be morally our intent to injure the person, not the act of sneezing itself). We can only speak of moral or immoral actions they meet at least one set of conditions:

Being an action affecting rules, principles or moral values.

Have been made freely, that is, having the opportunity to choose from several options before performing the action. In the event that there is no such freedom (for example, if someone forces me to do an act pointing a revolver), the individual can not be held morally responsible for that action.

That has been made voluntarily and being aware of the effects that would produce such action. For example, if I perform an act, and without me knowing, that act to another person causes serious disorders, can not be considered morally responsible for damage caused accidentally.

The intentions or purposes for which I have carried out this action, as may be the case of performing a good deed in itself but the intentions that motivated the act would be immoral (eg, someone who helps financially poor family although it does with the secret intention of obtaining sexual favors). Or conversely: cause damage even though my intentions are good

                                                                 ethics

The word ethics comes from the intimate relationship with morality, so that the two terms are often confused. The moral and ethical terms have the same etymological meaning, except that the former is derived from Latin (mos) and the second from the Greek (ethos).

Ethics, however, does not prescribe any rule or conduct; not directly require or suggest what to do. Its task is to clarify what is moral, how rationally substantiate a moral and how it subsequently be applied to different areas of social life. In everyday life is a reflection on the moral fact, find out the reasons for the use of a moral or other system.

Some have given the title of ethical art of living well, which does not seem accurate, as if all the rules of good conduct, without accompanying test are met, an art form, but not a science. (Balmes, "logic and Ethics)

Ethics examines the moral and determines what is good and, from this point of view, how to act. That is, is the theory or science of moral behavior.

                                Difference between Ethics and Morality

The use of the word and the word Moral Ethics is subject to various conventions and that each author, time or philosophical use them in different ways. But to distinguish be necessary to name the characteristics of each of these words and their similarities and differences.

Moral properties. Morality is the actual fact found in all societies, it is a set of rules to know which are transmitted from generation to generation, evolve over time and have strong differences with respect to the norms of another society and another time historical, these rules are used to guide the conduct of the members of that society.

Features Ethics. It is the true story that takes place in the minds of some people, is a set of rules namely principle and reasons that an individual has made and established as guidelines for their own behavior.

Similarities and Differences Between Ethics and Moral. The points that converge are:

In both cases these standards, perceptions, should be.

Morality is a set of rules that a company is responsible for transmitting from generation to generation and Ethics is a set of rules that a subject has clarified and adopted in his own mind.

The points that are different are:

Morality has a social base, is a set of rules laid down within a society and as such exerts a powerful influence on the behavior of each of its members. Instead Ethics emerges as such in the interiority of a person, as a result of their own thinking and their own choice.

A second difference is that Morality is a set of rules that act on behavior from the outside or from the unconscious. Instead Ethics influences the behavior of a person but of consciousness itself and will.

A third difference is the axiological character of ethics. In the prevailing moral norms prescriptive, legal, compulsory, tax, coercive and punitive aspect. That is in moral standards highlights the external pressure, while in the ethical standards highlights the pressure internally fetched value and appreciated as such. The foundation of the ethics rule is the value, not the value imposed from the outside, but internally discovered in the reflection of a subject.
